Closing Cycles

One always has to know when a stage comes to an end. If we insist on staying longer than the necessary time, we lose the happiness and the meaning of the other stages we have to go through. Closing cycles, shutting doors, ending chapters - whatever name we give it, what matters is to leave in the past the moments of life that have finished.
Did you lose your job? Has a loving relationship come to an end? Did you leave your parents' house? Gone to live abroad? Has a long-lasting friendship ended all of a sudden? You can spend a long time wondering why this has happened. You can tell yourself you won't take another step until you find out why certain things that were so important and so solid in your life have turned into dust, just like that. But such an attitude will be awfully stressing for everyone involved: your parents, your husband or wife, your friends, your children, your sister, everyone will be finishing chapters, turning over new leaves, getting on with life, and they will all feel bad seeing you at a standstill.
None of us can be in the present and the past at the same time, not even when we try to understand the things that happen to us. What has passed will not return: we cannot forever be children, late adolescents, sons that feel guilt or rancor towards our parents, lovers who day and night relive an affair with someone who has gone away and has not the least intention of coming back. Things pass, and the best we can do is to let them really go away.
That is why it is so important (however painful it may be!) to destroy souvenirs, move, give lots of things away to orphanages, sell or donate the
books you have at home. Everything in this visible world is a manifestation of the invisible world, of what is going on in our hearts - and getting rid of
certain memories also means making some room for other memories to take their place. Let things go. Release them. Detach yourself from them. Nobody plays this life with marked cards, so sometimes we win and sometimes we lose. Do not expect anything in return, do not expect your efforts to be appreciated, your genius to be discovered, your love to be understood. Stop
turning on your emotional television to watch the same program over and over again, the one that shows how much you suffered from a certain loss: that is only poisoning you, nothing else.
Nothing is more dangerous than not accepting love relationships that are broken off, work that is promised but there is no starting date, decisions
that are always put off waiting for the "ideal moment." Before a new chapter is begun, the old one has to be finished: tell yourself that what has
passed will never come back. Remember that there was a time when you could live without that thing or that person - nothing is irreplaceable, a habit is not a need. This may sound so obvious, it may even be difficult, but it is very important.
Closing cycles. Not because of pride, incapacity or arrogance, but simply because that no longer fits your life. Shut the door, change the record, clean the house, shake off the dust. Stop being who you were, and change into who you are.

Meeting you was fate
Becoming your friend was a choice
but falling in love with you I have no control over.

desert rose

When your life seems as bleak as the darkest you just want your troubles to up and take flight When your emotions are drained or you're full of pain And the tears pour out, just like the rain When your life appears to be falling apart And nothing can aid your aching heart God in his wisdom sent me you A shoulder to cry on, to help me through An angel to stand by my side Someone in whom I can confide For at the end of the tunnel there is a lightA hand to guide me in my flight For out of the darkness shines the moon And after the rain the flowers bloom Now my life is full of zest For I surely am the one that's blessed

memories of the past

I have been talking to quite a number of people lately who seem to be just as hesitant to let go of something that has long been gone and not within their reach anymore. They have made themselves believe that the relationship they have now is the one that they have been looking for all their lives. They are happy, fulfilled and simply contented with what they have. But, somewhere along the way, they step on a stone that was left unturned in the past. Slowly, memories start coming back. Soon, they find themselves battling with emotions that threaten their present relationships. Many of us have moved on after a failed relationship. But many of us fail to leave all the baggage behind. Unknowingly, we carry a little of that unresolved past hidden somewhere in our hearts. We find ourselves in new relationships thinking that we have finally left behind the regrets of the past. But everything that we bitterly let go will always have a way of haunting us- sometimes making us doubt our own capacity to make unbiased and sensible judgments. Let us always remember that the beautiful memories we had with someone will only be good for as long as they remain memories. The moment we confuse what we had yesterday with what we have today then we are head for trouble. There will never be any tomorrow for a memory. We can live forever in it but we will never be happy. Happiness dwells in the present, not in the past. Happiness is in knowing that even if we fail, we can find love again. And when we do, it will be better than what we used to have because it is something that we will share with someone who will wipe away our tears and love us forever.

pain

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Pain. You just have to ride it out. You can only hope it goes away on its own, hope the wound that caused it heals. There are no solutions, no easy answers, you just breath deep and wait for it to subside.

still a lil bit crumpled but am definitely okay...

i am a full pledge nurse
by heart & by soul...
equipped with knowledge & skills
to hone my future colleagues..
but when this pain in the chest
occurs everytym when im at rest...
i wanna lay down like a baby
PLEASE WATCH OVER ME...
NOW...
what's the purpose of this
diploma & license...
if i cant even cure myself
err..it makes no sense...

just let me be...

Life is too short to wake up with regrets..
So LOVE the people who treat you RIGHT!
Forget the ones who DON'T!!
And believe that everything happens for a reason.
If you get a chance, TAKE IT,
If it changes your life, LET IT!
Nobody said it would be easy,
they just promised that it would be WORTH IT....

When that day comes..

One day you're going to wake up
and realize how much you care for me
and when that day comes,
I'll be waking up
next to the guy that already knew...

i'm looking forward to that day.

THE GREAT PRETENDER

we can pretend to be brave, to conceal our fears.
Pretend to be smart, to conceal our insecurities.
Pretend to be strong, to conceal our weaknesses.
But we can NEVER pretend to be HAPPY,
to conceal how much we missed the days before we pierced into reality.
Maybe, that's what life is all about.
Reality bites, but we can never bite it back।

i need a life

march 2008
i have heard it coming but i'm not prepared...everything comes so fast
i have wanted it to happen so that i can show some ass but it was really damn difficult just
to leave like that. well i thought maybe it's time to get out of my shell and do something brave,
something that is different from my daily routine...a way better than sitting in front of my computer, much nicer than talking nonsense hahaha...in short getting a "life".
i cant believe that it took me a year to think about that, it just popped in my head that i should be working now in a reputable hospital doing rounds, changing iv lines, etc. i got my license last year and did nothing....for a year!!!! yeah u read it right nothing!!
i dont know what came into me and i dont know if i'm gonna be happy or what but my mom hahaha she's sure is, it's not that she wanted me gone she just wanted me to have some directions in life what i'm trying to imply is she wanted me to act as an adult, an adult who is capable of making decisions of her own and simply knows what is right or what is wrong (whoaaa i think thats though isn't it? hahaha )
she (my mom) brought me to life and now she wants me to get a life...sometimes i laugh at it but as i keep on thinking maybe i should really get a life i cant stay like this forever!!!! I NEED A LIFE!!

a better me

When I was young I was always been envious of the awardees even the lower grades, high school valedictorian, the college cumlaudes and suma cumlaude, I was thinking how can I attain such a similar goal. Should I burn the candle up to midnight? Or am I gifted with natural intelligence above others? Reflecting on these thoughts I strive and work hard to be the best student I can be.

I graduated High school with no honors or any medals hanging around my neck but it inspired me to go to college with the ambition of outdoing everybody in my class. Failure is a great teacher, so is sorrow and so is pain. Deep within me I know I can be flexible, tough and versatile all that in one.

Being a teenager in college there are some distractions that made my ambition of being on top a very difficult goal. My mother, who is a high school teacher despite my flaws and weaknesses, still believes in me. She helped and guided me to polish my attitude. Even if I didn’t have any awards or recognition, my frustrations serve as my greatest source of inspiration. Despite the pains, fears, and the negative thoughts I have in mind and heart, my experience has thought me the art of believing in what I can do for my self and in what I can do for others, I graduated with the thought that I did my very best and in the hope that by exerting the greatest of my ability and harnessing all my powers I will in the end be a very successful, gracious and God fearing nurse.

a perfect example of "it's not meant to be"

--fools in love--

You’ve got butterflies, good
conversation, maybe even great sex,
but sometimes it can be difficult to
be sure if it’s love. How do you
decipher whether the feeling in the
pit of your stomach is the nervous
quivering of anticipation or
yesterday's lunch?
Here are some tell-tale signs that it
just be might be love, love, love.

You are best friends. You laugh with
them more than anyone else. The
feelings of anticipation, passion, and
connection are mutual. You remember
little things about each other like
their favorite foods, the places they
want to visit and why, their views on
everything from politics to fashion,
and what they love about their closest
buddies, but is it enough? Take a look
at these signs to be sure.

~*~*~What he’ll do:

*Put you on his “A” list (pay
attention -- You'll know if you're not
on it)

Introduce you to his family

Make plans for the future (near and
far)

Do things outside of his “box” with
you

Share his secrets and his dreams for
the future with you

Worry about impressing your friends

Come right over when you ask him to

Try to do things that comfort you or
relieve some of your stress (like
surprise you with dinner on a night
you are working, rub your feet, or ask
about your day)

Appreciate and reciprocate your
feelings and your actions like giving
you a massage after he gets one from
you, doing the dishes after dinner, or
sending you a gift

~*~*~What she’ll do:

Share her embarrassing moments and
fantasies with you

Little things all throughout the day
that let you know she’s thinking about
you

Fantasize about her life with you,
getting married, having kids, growing
old, traveling the world, etc.

Tease you

Hang out with your mother or talk to
her on the phone

Appreciate and reciprocate your
feelings and your actions, like
offering to pay for dinner, getting
tickets to a game or event she knows
you’ll love, or cooking for you

Ask questions about your life -- past,
present, and future

Flirt with you

~*~*~How you’ll feel:

Excited, yet relaxed

Vulnerable, yet strong

Comfortable enough to be yourself in
front of them

Like you want to include them in
everything (but you won't desert your
usual crowd to be in a relationship
with them)

You’ll miss them when they’re not
around

You can’t wait to see them, talk to
them, play with them, and kiss them

You’ll find yourself wanting to make
plans to have them all to yourself

You’ll have urges to do romantic
things (maybe on the verge of stalker-
like things) that you never thought
you’d never do

~*~*~Signs that it’s not love:

*They blow you off or cancel dates

Talking about commitment makes either
of you uneasy or nervous

*Either of you are seeing other people

Things are moving too quickly for one
of you

You find your partner lacking when
compared to other people

*You watch a love scene in a movie or
hear a love song and you feel a strong
longing or desire for what you don’t
have

~*~*~Tips before you commit:

Take the time to compare who you have
with who you know deep down that you
desire and deserve. Likewise, compare
the relationship you have with the one
you know you really want.

Pay attention to how they treat their
friends, family, business associates,
and strangers. This is a good
indication of how they will treat you
over time and a big insight into their
overall character.

Ask yourself how well you know them
and how well they know you.

----songs of my life----

insensitive

How do you cool your lips

After a summer’s kiss

How do you rid the sweat

After the body bliss

How do you turn your eyes

From the romantic glare

How do you block the sound

Of a voice you’d know anywhere

Oh, i really should have known

By the time you drove me home

By the vagueness in your eyes

Casual good-byes

By the chill in your embrace

The expression on your face

That told me You might have some advice to give

On how to be Insensitive

How do you numb your skin

After the warmest touch

How do you slow your blood

After the body rush

How do you free your soul

After you’ve found a friend

HOW DO YOU TEACH YOUR HEART IT'S A CRIME TO FALL IN LOVE AGAIN

Oh, you probably won’t remember me

It’s probably ACIENT HISTORY

I’m one of the chosen few

Who went ahead and fell for you

I’m out of vogue, i’m out of touch

**I fell too fast, i feel too much**

I THOUGHT THAT YOU MIGHT HAVE SOME ADVICE TO GIVE ON HOW TO BE INSENSITIVE

Head Over Feet

Sumthin2belivyy0 I had no choice but to hear you
You stated your case time and again
I thought about it

You treat me like I'm a princess
I'm not used to liking that
You ask how my day was

You've already won me over in spite of me
And don't be alarmed if I fall head over feet
Don't be surprised if I love you for all that you are
I couldn't help it
It's all your fault

Your love is thick and it swallowed me whole
You're so much braver than I gave you credit for
That's not lip service

You've already won me over in spite of me
And don't be alarmed if I fall head over feet
Don't be surprised if I love you for all that you are
I couldn't help it
It's all your fault

You are the bearer of unconditional things
You held your breath and the door for me
Thanks for your patience

You're the best listener that I've ever met
You're my best friend
Best friend with benefits
What took me so long

I've never felt this healthy before
I've never wanted something rational
I am aware now
I am aware now

You've already won me over in spite of me
And don't be alarmed if I fall head over feet
Don't be surprised if I love you for all that you are
I couldn't help it
It's all your fault
